The California Fashion Foundation and the Textile Association of Los Angeles (TALA) hosted the 2011 TALA Scholarship Awards Luncheon on June 2, 2011 to honor local fashion design students. Students submitted entries directly online, and winners from each school received scholarship funds in the name of a sponsor who donated to the scholarship program.
AIMS donated to the scholarship program, and was given the opportunity to present the "Best Use of Technology" scholarship award to Ralph Prado of FIDM. Ralph was awarded a cash scholarship and also received a $400 gift certificate to take the AIMS Certification course and be certified on the software.
